Land Hermit Crab
Coenobita clypeatus
Average length: 4in
Average lifespan: 10-15yrs
Diet: Commercial hermit crab pellet or canned food, fruits, veggies
Temperature: 75-85 degrees F
Minimum cage size: 10 gallon aquarium for 1-2 adults
Lighting/Heat source: Dome fixture w/heat bulb and/or undertank heater, a full spectrum light is also recommended
Substrate: Reptile sand, aquarium gravel, crushed coral, or marine sand
Additional info: have a variety of shells for the hermit crab to move into when it out-grows its shell. I recommend using a moist natural sea sponge for a water source, hermit crabs normally like to climb so have wood and rocks that it can climb on, also, it is a good idea to keep some of the substrate moist to aid in moulting
