Diet: appropriately sized rodents (prekilled when possible)

Evening/night temperature: 70-72 degrees F
Minimum cage size: 40-55 gallon aquarium for 1 adult
Lighting: Full spectrum fluorescent light is recommended but not necessary
Heating: undertank heater or heat rock
Substrate: bark or soil reptile bedding
Other info: Always house kingsnakes by themselves, they will eat other snakes. Only put them together to breed, and only after properly researching breeding info. Be sure to have a very secure cage top they are great at escaping. Like with all snakes keep one side of the enclosure warmer than the other with a hide box on the cooler side
