Diet: appropriately sized rodents (frozen when possible)
Daytime temperature: 80 degrees F with a 90 degree F hot spot
Evening/night temperature: 68-72 degrees F
Minimum cage size: 20 gallon long aquarium for 1 maybe 2 adults
Lighting: Full spectrum fluorescent light is recommended but not necessary. If no other heat source is provided, us a basking lamp for heat
Heating: undertank heater or heat rock is recommended
Substrate: reptile sand
Other info: Be sure to make a layer of substrate thick enough for the boa to fully bury itself. Sand boas will spend the majority of their time buried in the sand. As with all snakes, keep one side of the cage warmer than the other and a hide box is recommended on the cool side.
