Your immortal form honours my desire.
Your fair spirit guides my every deed.
Leaving my mind on high and body on fire,
Turning this Love into a wanton need.
Not gentler emotion consumes my heart
Than the one I propose eternal toward;
Each day more entwined, never to part,
My life to give, sweet angel of the Lord.
Yet you feel no such powerful Love
Cursing my meaning and my devotion.
Left bewildered, damned from above,
Tears falling, with disparate emotion.
Destined never to feel her warm kiss,
Lying broken in Love's caustic abyss.
