How Self-Indulgent are YOU?
Forget having friends! Who needs them, surely it's like having your problems multiplied for each friend you have. No if, like me you realise that in this life you need to concentrate on yourself otherwise you'll end up in a big hole of manifestation and despair. If all this applies then this questionnaire is here for you only, just like everything else in this world.
Ok, so let's head straight into the questions and not waste each other's time:
1.What is your view on the world we live in? a)It has both good and bad, and we should just be thankful for all the good b)It is wicked! We got loving friends and money, living in nice houses. What more can you want? c)What? You mean Stratford? d)It sucks and no one's prepared to do anything about it 2.You have something you are upset about something, do you? a)Keep quiet and think to yourself about it till you fix the problem b)Talk to your friends about it constantly until the pain goes away c)Mention it to your friends but don't burdon them with it by any means d)Not mention it and hope it goes away if you carry on 3.You decide to tell someone about something affecting you, do you? a)Say exactly how it's getting to you or affecting you, even if it sounds silly or melodramatic b)Play it down and conclude it's probably just you being stupid c)Babble out complete rubbish in a vain attempt to communicate how you feel, though you know not the words d)Nothing affects me! 4You are having an argument or discussing something with someone, do you? a)Punch em and leave em bleeding in a corner! Mess with you huh! The nerve! b)Believe you are right and not back down even if you're getting to the other person c)Argue your point sensibly but accept if your point is proven invalid d)Give in easily, it's not worth fighting over and you're probably wrong anyway 5.Jokes at inappropiate times are cutting and funny? a)Piss off, my dad has lung cancer! b)Shh, Ollie doesn't know about them! c)Anyone would think they have another, less obvious point to them d)I think they're depraved That's the end of the questionnaire, thanks for reading this far. You wanna know the answers now? .... .... .... Well I think it was pretty obvious which ones were meant to sound like you were self indulgent and which were meant to sound apoloogetic and so on. If you didn't realise which was which, go back and see. My point, is that I purposefully left out certain parts out or phrased sentances certain ways to show that it's not always what you can see, but more what you can't. I personally feel it is very hard to be selfindulgent. Unless you are conscious of what you are doing. If you feel upset about something, no matter how ridiculous or untrue it may actually be, if it's getting to you, then you're not being self indulgent and you shouldn't have to hide your burdons in fear of being called that. If you don't want to talk about your problems then it's your decision and there's nothing anyone can do to make you talk, but don't make someone feel worthless or pathetic for feeling like they have a problem. I guess, and there's two ways of reading this; you can't fix something that doesn't exist. Did anyone think that these questions were more about friends than the others and vice versa? Maybe that's how it works ? Your self indulgence affects your friends/friendships and your friends affect your self indulgence. Anyway, this is turning into one of my e-mails which I know you don't like to trawl through so I'll pull up here, I just thought all this was important. It's what's in my head and I want to share it. Why? Well if you've been listening you'll know.
