These are the guys...
You Wanna be!
Thurston Moore, Sonic Youth.
Great musician. This guy plays lead, sings and looks as cool as fuck, all at the same time. Hard to imagine off stage or not in a musical sense, Thurston Moore always oozes a look of nonchalant genius. Changing the face of rock music, before I was born and still doing it.
Jonathon Donahue, Mercury Rev
Vulnerable. Unashamed. Beautiful. Enchanting. Majestic. This man seems to preach in a way that merely shows you his perception and then lets you form your own beliefs around yourself. Translates feeling into music unbelievably well. Inspirational and untouchable.
Beth Orton.
One for the girls here. Beth, apart from being my beautiful wife and goddamn sexy (it's the eyes and smile). Is fantastic at singing about human feelings. About it not always turning out right. It's that feeling that nothing she says is a lie that makes her so cool
Maynard James Keenan, Tool
This man is a little scary, mostly due to his drive and belief in what he's singing about, and the obvious anger and ways in which this is put across (also due to early haircuts). There is a certain pull to watch him and take in what he is saying and doing. Kinda like Charlie Manson.
Jim Morrisson, The Doors
An oldie, sadly no longer around but still, what a fucking front man, the charisma, the style, the seeming freedom around his mind and thoughts. "Grow my hair, I wanna be Jim Morrisson", and who the fuck wouldn't?
No one else is happy with themselves right? Oh that's good. Phew!
