Satalon: Triad Knight of the heavens   Herofox

Sonic the Hedgehog stood on the launch pad where his fighter jet ‘The Tornado’ would take off from, clutching Tails damaged Sword. 
Thinking about Tails’ death at the hands of Nagus, filled the hedgehog with explosive anger. Tightening his grip on the handle, he powered up to Super Sonic, then Ultra Sonic, and finally, his fur burst into a fiery red, as Solar Sonic roared into life. He flew upwards, in the direction of the moon. 
Mere seconds later, Solar noticed someone following him. It was Solar Knuckles. “Don’t be stupid, Sonic! You can’t fight Nagus all alone!”, “Back off Knuckles! That wizards gonna pay big time!”, “I’m not saying we should let Nagus get away with it, but if you’re going to fight hi, wouldn’t it be easier with two of us?” Sonic smiled. He knew what Knuckles was talking about. “Okay Knux, lets do it!” And so the two heroes flew side by side, as they began go glow purple. Then the two glows became one, and the glow faded. Light Fist then flew even faster towards the moon, with Tails sword of Power rings, tight in his hand. 

In a morgue, Flash was looking down at Tails’ lifeless body, “So it was to try and bring back your mother?” she whispered, as if Tails could still hear her. “She must have been wonderful, if you’d fight with Light Fist to try and save her. Tears filled her eyes. “I wish you could hear me.” A tear fell onto Tails’ chest. “I…I love you Tails.”

Tails didn’t know how it was possible, but he was standing in a field. AS if that wasn’t strange enough he noticed that his body was now the size of a ten your old cub. “I’m…I’m alive?” he gasped. “In a way, yes.” came a sweet heavenly voice. Tails turned to face a beautiful orange echidna, with the white tattoos of an ancient tribal warrior, and a grass skirt. “I know you.” Said Tails, “Tikal?”, “That’s right.” said the Echidna, “Your body was very badly damage during your fight with Nagus. So to save your life, we took your soul from your body. Now you need to heal your body and soul.”, “My soul?” Tails was confused, “Yes. Over the past months, your inner goodness had become corrupted. Had you not noticed any negative behaviour?” Now it all made sense. Towards the end of the war, Tails had been growing increasingly angry. He had lashed out at his friends, and didn’t always follow the rules, when it suited him. “How can I heal my soul?” he asked. Tikal smiled, “Deep meditation. Don’t worry, if all goes well, you’ll unlock even greater powers.”

Light Fist had arrived on the moon. Nagus stood in front of him, grinning manically. “Greetings, Light Fist. Come to avenge your fallen comrade?” Light Fist pointed the sword at the giant. “Exactly right! You’re going down Nagus!” and with that, he lunged at the wizard, swinging the golden blade. Nagus had dodged out of the way. “SOLAR FORCE!” roared Light Fist, as he shot the powerful wave of energy up towards the dark sorcerer, “SOUL BURNER!” cried Nagus, throwing an attack of his own to block the approaching beam. The two beams crashed into each other. Light Fist struggled to maintain his footing. The ground beneath him began to crumble. He opened his dreads and took off into the air, flying out of the explosion caused by Nagus’ beam. Light Fist swung the sword at Nagus, who cause the wrist of the hand holding the weapon, with his lobster claw. The purple fusion tried to punch the evil hybrid, but his fist was caught it Nagus’ other hand. Tightening the grip, he smirked as Light Fist cried out in pain, and dropped the sword. 

At the morgue, Merlin Prower had entered. “I believe the time is nigh, dear nephew.” He said as he placed a colourless emerald onto Tails chest. Then he began the incantation. The body of Tails began to glow. Then, like magic, it disappeared. The emerald was then filled with energy, as it began to glow a brilliant yellow. Taking the emerald in his hand, Merlin began to meditate. 

Back in the spirit world, Tails had just finished his meditation. His blue eyes opened up, and a large smile spread across his face. “Well done Tails.” Said Tikal. “You’ve returned your heart to that of the kindly youth you once were.” “Thank you Tikal. I feel so much better, now”, “Well, this is goodbye again. You have to help Sonic & Knuckles.” “I know, but how do I get back to Moby’s?”, “When you’re ready to leave, just concentrate. Your soul will reunite with your body, and together, you and your friends will win the victory.” They hugged. “Goodbye Tikal.” Said Tails as he vanished.

“It is time.” Said Merlin as he opened his eyes. The emerald in his hand flashed, almost as if it was signalling him to put his plan into action. Merlin vanished, and prepared for the moon.

Light Fist wasn’t giving up, he flew up at Nagus again, with a powerful punch, that was blocked by an evil purple energy shield. The force knocked Light Fist down into the dirt. “I grow tiered of this Mobian!” he raised his hand to perform his death move, “Soul Burn…AGH!” before he could perform his attack, or complete his sentence, Merlin appeared, and blasted him with a wave of wind, that blew his away. “Now it is time Tails.” He said to the Emerald. He threw the stone into the air. It hovered above Light Fist, who began to glow, along with the flashing Emerald. Then Light Fist transformed into two emeralds. Red & Blue. They floated into the air, up with the yellow emerald. Nagus had pulled himself from under the rubble he had flown into, and was ready to deal out some payback. “I do so love it when a plan comes together.” Said Merlin “Or fuses together, so to speak.” He pointed behind Nagus, and the evil wizard gasped in shock. 

The three Emeralds were spinning in a large circle in the air above Tails’ sword. The jewels stopped moving, and shot beams of red, yellow and blue lightning into the middle of the ring. Tails’ sword levitated into the air, between the three emeralds. As the lightning covered it, it grew in size. The blade became longer, and wider, and on the hand guard, was now the symbol of three rings, blue yellow and red; showing the triad of wind, fire and thunder (AKA the Sonic Heroes symbol!)

An explosion of light engulfed the area. When it died down, a lone figure stood, where the explosion had began. He opened up a pair of silver angel wings, to show a golden body, with the spikes of a hedgehog, the dreadlocks of an echidna, and the main & muzzle of a fox. He had three bangs of hair, coloured in blue, orange and red. And his turquoise eyes opened up to smile confidently at Nagus.
“What trickery is this?!” he demanded, “I am Satalon.” Said the new being, in a deep, smooth voice. “And I am here to put an end to your evil.” Then he vanished from sight, and reappeared in front of Nagus.

Satalon punched Nagus, sending him flying into space. Regaining his posture, Nagus summoned a fleet of bats, made of dark energy, and pointed at Satalon. The Dark energy bats flew towards their target with stunning speed. 

The golden fighter breathed in, sucking in the energy from the sun, and the planets. 
He flew through the bats, and with one swing of his mighty blade, he cute through a large number of them, then he turned around, to realise the energy he had absorbed, 
“HOWLING STARBEAM!” he roared as the power shot from his mouth like the breath of a dragon, magnified into a fast moving beam. 
When the bats were destroyed, Nagus summoned another fleet to strike again, but Satalon was too quick. 
He shot past the bats and punched Nagus again. This time sailing with him closer towards the sun. With another powerful blow, Satlon blew Nagus further towards the Star of the Solar System. 

“SOUL BURNER!” Nagus screamed in desperation, firing his deadly beam of Dark energy,
“That won’t work this time!” said Satalon, as he thrust his hands out in front of himself, “BIG BANG SOLAR FORCE!”   
With a defining roar, a huge beam of power flew from his hands, crashing into Nagus’ attack. The beams power was far greater than that of the soul burner. The black beam evaporated, and the evil wizard was struck by the full force of the golden beam. The mighty wave of energy pushed Nagus into the blazing sun. With a final scheme, the wizard was vanquished forever. 

Merlin floated up to Satalon, “A splendid performance, Satalon triad.” Said Merlin. Satalon smiled, “Thank you Merlin.” Said the fuser, “Now, shall we visit the king?”
“Excellent.” Said Merlin. 

Back in Mobotropolis, the court was in an uproar, awaiting news of the situation. 
Then, Satalon flew into the Royal Chamber, to the background noise of a gasping crowd. He stood in front of King Maxi, and knelt down, on bended knee. Then he began to glow, as he split into three once again. Tails, Sonic and Knuckles knelt in a triangle formation. Tails stood up, with his sword in hand. He handed the sword to the king, and then knelt back down. “I’m ready to pay for my crimes, your Majesty.” He said, with his head lowered. The King stood up, and touched Tails shoulder with the blade. “You destroyed my defence forces, yet only in self defence. Since there were no casualties, you’re only crime is assault on Sonic & Knuckles. Therefore, your punishment will be four weeks probation.”

Later, a great celebration was held, to celebrate the defeat of Nagus, and Tails triumphant return. Durrning the party, Tails stepped outside for a breath of fresh air. Flash came out with him, “I’m glad you’re back.” She said. “Me too.” Said Tails, “I can’t believe what a jerk I’ve been all this time.”, Flash hugged him. “That evil is one now.” She whispered into his ear, “Now that you’ve returned to the nice guy I feel for, we can finally be happy.” “You’re right. From now on the only way is up.” Said Tails.

Finally, they kissed. 


All is peaceful, and everything is right with the world. But for how long? The story continues, next time!
