Hyper Hound by Herofox (In this episode I will use material from Sailor Moon, Digimon, and Dragonball Z. Also I've nicknamed Shadow Fox's challenge, the "Shadow games" so I'd like to apologise to Yu-gi-oh.) Last time- Metal Sonic: Fools! Tails is now under the control of Robotnik! Robotnik: Because I've always wanted Shadow to help me take over the world. But he got imprisoned in that emerald. But with his re-incarnation in this little twerp's body, I can now achieve my goals. Shadow Fox: Join me Sally. Become my dark queen and together we shall rule both worlds! (He pulls her close to him and kisses her on the lips.) CHAOS SPEARE! (Shadow Fox shoots a golden arrow that shatters Metal Sonics arm.) Robotnik: WHAT?! What are you doing Shadow Fox?! Shadow Fox: I wish to fight a strong opponent. And I'd say that Metal Sonic qualifies. (He jumps at Metal Sonic with his Beam sword and slices him in half.) Guess not. Shadow Fox: I will take orders from no one. In ten days, I will hold a great tournament. Keep checking your TV. In two days I will announce the date and vicinity that shall be used for the contest. (He flies away.) (On with the show!) (On the floating island base, Sally has some bad news for everyone.) Flash: We needed this like a hole in the head. Hound: If I ever get my paws on Robotnik, I'll put a hole in HIS head! Bubble: Very courageous but crazy! Let me remind you that even if you could supercharge, which by the way you cant, he's too powerful! Sally: Stop arguing! We need to make preparations for Shadow Fox's challenge. Saber: I think first we should spread the word about this little contest. The more people enter, the better chance we'll have of breaking all those control bugs. Rotor: Yeah. When Sonic and Knuckles get back on their feet, they're sure to want in on it. Sally: Good idea. We can't really make up a plan until we know who we've got left to work with. Antoine: But what should we do in the meantime? (Mina enters the room. She is warring a chef's hat and an apron that says, "Kiss the cook") Mina: Do what Tails would do; eat the meal I just pulled out of the oven, and don't fight on an empty stomach! (Meanwhile in Robotropolis.) Robotnik: In ten days. I'd better get some robotic competition ready. (Presses a button on the com.) Snivly! Give me a status report on the Mecha Sonic Smash squad. Snivly: We are beginning repairs to Metal Sonic just this second Dr Robotnik. Metal Knuckles has returned and is being re-fuelled as we speak. Metal Tails is standing by for your orders sir. Robotnik: Very good. Robotnik out. (He closes comm and presses another button.) Metal Tails, acquire target: The Shadow emerald. (In the badnik hanger, Metal Tails eyes light up and he activates his thrusters.) (In the Great Forrest, Hound is alone with his thoughts.) Memory of Knux voice: You just need to go deep inside yourself and focus your mind. That's how you get all the power. (End of Flashback. Hound pulls out his chaos drive.) Hound: So I need to concentrate huh. (Thinks back to the last thing Tails said to him.) All you have to do is fight with your feelings. Keep in mind all the people you're fighting for, and how much you care about them. (End of flash back.) Hound: Maybe Shadow would know. (He takes the Shadow emerald. And closes his eyes. When he opens them he is standing in a white landscape.) Shadow: What's the trouble, Hound? Hound: I've been thinking about how powerful the badniks are becoming. I think I may have to supercharge if I want to beat them. How did you do it? Shadow: I'm not quite sure. I remember Sonic telling my to keep in mind my promise to the girl whose memory I was fighting for and all the people on Mobius who would suffer if I didn't use my powers to help stop the colony. Hound: It sounds like what Tails once told me. Shadow: All I know is that the power comes in response to a need. Not a desire. You have to create that need. (The mind meld ends.) Hound: A need? (Metal Tails lands in front of Hound) M. Tails: Target acquired. Apprehending. (Hound runs. Robotnik is watching from Robotropolis.) Robotnik: Get him! Get him! M. Tails: Affirmative. (He flies after Hound. Hound hides in a tree.) M. Tails: Target has evaded. Robotnik: Then burn the place down and flush him out you mechanised moron! M. Tails: Yes sir. (He activates a flamethrower. He burns down a lot of trees.) Hound: Now what am I gonna do? (He spots a Flickie that has a burnt wing. He picks it up.) Don't worry birdie. I'll take care of you. (Metal Tails continues his rampage.) I have to stop him! Shadow power! (Nothing happens.) Huh? Why didn't it work? (Thinks back to what Shadow said earlier.) The power comes in response to a need. Not a desire. You have to create that need. (End of flashback.) Hound: So Shadow is trying to force my to supercharge? (Metal Tails destroys another tree. A flock of birds hurry away from it. Metal Tails fires his laser at the birds.) Hound: No! His thoughts: Those poor birds! I have to make sure no more get hurt! (He grabs the chaos drive but gets no reaction from it.) C'mon! I can't do this without some help! (He remembers the words he was told.) You just need to go deep inside yourself and focus your mind. That's how you get all the power. The power comes in response to a need. Not a desire. You have to create that need. All you have to do is fight with your feelings. Keep in mind all the people you're fighting for, and how much you care about them. Hound: I love this planet and all the millions of people living here! THIS IS FOR YOU!!! WITH ALL MY LOVE!!! [Insert the tune that plays on Digimon when there seems no hope, but then someone's digivice activates] (The chaos drive starts glowing) RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAGGGGGG!!! (Hounds fur changes from brown, to bright blue.) M. Tails: Strong power level detected. (Hyper Hound tackles Metal Tails with so much force that he knocks him into a tree.) H. Hound (Picks up the bird.): C'mon lets get out of here! Robotnik: METAL! Activate the chaos filter! (He does but Hyper Hound flies away too fast for him to catch.) (Meanwhile, Shadow Fox is meditating under a waterfall.) Shadow Fox: Hum? I sense a strong force. As if someone has supercharged. It's not as strong as the others but it's still quite powerful. I guess I should make a rule about supercharging at the tournament. (Back to Hyper Hound who has reached the floating island safely and has turned back into normal Hound.) Hound (Takes the shadow emerald): So did you ignore me, so that I would supercharge? Shadow: Yes. As Shadow Hound you could have had a fair fight with that robot. But you never would have learned how to supercharge. If I hadn't forced you to fight alone, you'd call me every time you had a problem, and never learn to try for yourself. Hound: I understand. Thank you Shadow. Shadow (smiles): You're welcome Hounds thoughts: And thank you Tails and Knuckles. You've show my how to use the power that comes from inside of me.
