Freiza came to planet Namek looking for that planet's Dragonballs and the prospect of gaining eternal life. Everyone who stood in his way was killed by either himself of any of his subordinates. In the end, he was defeated by Goku, a Saiyan...a member of the race he despises above all others in the entire universe. After that defeat, he was rebuilt as a cybernetic version of himself, just as strong, if not stronger than he was before. He found Earth, and intended to kill Goku and all his friends, and all life on that planet if he got bored enough. He never got his fight with Goku, as he and his father King Cold were hacked to pieces by a young demi-Saiyan named Trunks.
After this death, he was sent to Hell, but he would not be so easily quelled. He and another megalomanaical being named Cell tore ass around Hell until they eventually escaped--not into the living world, but into a strange, parallel dimension. There, the wheels of progress turned, cranking out an evil scheme that will pose trouble for anyone who stands in their way.
HIS PLACE IN THE MULTIVERSE: There is no shortage of evil, horribly strong tyrants in all the animes I'm going to be using to write this, but someone this strong and contempt cannot be looked over. Someone who buys and sells planets like their trading cards (and blows some up if it serves his purpose) deserves a place as one of the top villains in this story.
