BIO: Like many children his age, Ash Ketchum dropped out of school to pursue a Pokmon journey at the ripe old age of 10. His was one of the more rockier known starts. He overslept on the day he was to receive his first Pokmon. He was woefully unprepared. He struggled early in his stages, with disobedien Pokmon and widepsread doubt and criticism everywhere he turned. However, no matter how hard things got, Ash did not back down or quit once. In his first major Pokmon tournament, he was eliminated in the quarterfinal round, but did not falter. Instead, he kept to his training, ever the diligent youth.

He did, however, achieve one major Pokmon tournament victory, in his short-lived stay in the Orange Islands. When he returned home, he soon after set out for the Johto region, looking to compete in the Silver conference. He did better than he did in the Indigo tournament, but victory was not his that day. His goal of becoming the world's greatest Pokmon master, however, is not something he will lose sight of, no matter how bad things may go for him.

What he lacks in Pokmon tournament victories, he makes up for in other daring deeds. Known as the Chosen One in the Orange Islands, Ash is responsible for saving the world from the destruction that legendary Pokmon Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos would unleash upon the world. He was also responsible for breaking the "spell of the Unown", an ancient Pokmon race thought to be nothing more than heiroglyphs. Word of his exploits has stretched to many parts of the world, and other dimensions, it would seem. For Ash Ketchum is recruited to be the third member of the superhero group, the Heroes of the Multiverse. Being "the #1 draft pick" is something the young trainer from Pallet Town deeply prides himself on.

HIS PLACE IN THE MULTIVERSE: First thing's first: keep your flames to yourselves.

Yes, Ash is a kid. No doubt, he is the youngest member of the group, and doesn't have any physically redeeming qualities. He's not strong like Goku, or not as magically gifted as Darien (or others), but one thing this kid got is guts. Heart. Balls the side of basketballs, if you can believe it. Youth in anime is always tricky, because you have to understand that young people who are stronger than their adult contempoaries are likely to be far stronger than the adults possibly can when they come of age. Youth equals potential...lots of it.

Ash Ketchum is a young man with a lot to prove in this story. As I said, he brings the least to the table save his skills as a Pokmon trainer. However, this does not mean he will be a liability to the team. I plan to renovate Ash's character when he gets to the Multiverse, making some arguably drastic changes. First, while Pokmon training is his niche, it won't be all that he has. I plan to have him study new ways of fighting, new ways of not only fighting evil, but standing up for himself. Naturally, no one is going to take this kid seriously on his own, so he's going to have to beat respect into people if it comes down to that. Expect big things from such a little boy.

Keep your eyes on the giants and you will be devoured by ants.
