Originally based in the Greenfield area, Heroes covers a variety of songs ranging from classic rock favorites to modern rock radio hits.
Original members Bill Dyer (bass, vocals) and Steve Sakowicz (lead guitar) have brought the band a following in the Greenfield area with the recent addition of Jayce DeSantis (guitar, vocals), which gave the band a newer and fuller sound than the previous three piece lineup.
Former drummer Jon Unaitis, who handled lead vocals on most of their material and their studio recordings, disbanded the group, leaving Jayce to take over much of the singing. With no drummer the band took leave and added Chris Gillman to the lineup, solving the lack of drummer problem. After a short time of rearranging their material and presentation, Heroes finally decided to hit the clubs again.
Thus far the feedback from long-time fans has been great, and the band's recognition is expanding as well, with shows reaching into the Springfield area clubs. A new cd is also in the works, but the release date is yet to be decided. |
