Note on this Piece of Music: This arrangement is not a single piece of music but three combined into one. I took three of my favorite pieces from Hayao Mizayaki's Wind Valley and put them together.
This is my second arrangement for a small orchestral band. Like the Beauty and the Beast, I started working on this piece at my own leisure and used it for my University assignment. My task was to arrange this piece for 12 people to play with at least more than 10 different instruments. It's really challenging trying to add all sort of instrument into it. I have used 7 orchestral instruments including Violin, Viola, Viola cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, piano triangle, tambourine and a voice. I think the most challenging part for me is to make each instrument to stand out, that means I have to write a solo part for most of the instruments except triangle and tambourine. But in the end I believe I have accomplished that.
The actual performance sound just like this midi you are listening now.
