It�s a new a-WAKE-ning !!
Herne Bay Harrier Colts under 9�s romped home as 5-1 winners against a FC Stripes Reserves with Man of the Match Tom Wake netting a hat-trick in style. The Colts took the lead after 10 minutes through Tom Wake in a well worked combination move linked with Daniel Watson , Tom scored his second just before half time to take the home side in 2 nil.
FC Stripes pulled back a goal straight after the interval only to see the game snatched from their grasp with Tom�s third . Ben Rogers and Michael Butler and Tom were rested late in the second half with Kieran Brett winning a free kick just outside the box which Billy Harding converted in style .
The best goal came five minutes from the end with , Captain , Matt Evans on a solo run from his own goal carried the ball the whole length of the field to the net fifth past the demoralised Stripes goal keeper .
This was a win one of the highest quality which all team members playying a major role in securing the Colts first 3 points of the season.
