| Saturday 25TH JANUARY 2003 UNDER 9'S DIVISION ONE HERNE BAY HARRIERS (HOME) - F C STRIPES Harriers began brightly in this home fixture with FC Stripes, however the away side soon struck with an opening goal. (0-1) Harriers rallied and scored via a corner from Sam Hudson and a strike from Thomas Inglis (1-1) Then further pressure from Harriers resulted in a fine goal from striker Ben Tamplin (2-1) FC Stripes then replied to make it (2-2) Cameron Tait then scored from close in after some good passing (half time score (3-2) The second half was not good for Harriers as the Stripes took the lead with three goals in quick succession as a result of some good attacking and finishing. The introduction of Billy Bailey resulted in a fourth, but the Harriers defence went missing for the remainder of the game despite fine midfield work from Ben Tamplin and Thomas Inglis and some good saves from Ross Mole. Harriers eventually lost out!
