MATCH REPORT Herne Bay Harriers Under 9�s were beaten by a last minutes goal at home to Sturry Blues FC in the Parker Steel League. The Harriers dominated the early stages of the match and took the lead with an interchange of passes between Ben Tamplin and George Liddell, which resulted in Cameron Tait scoring from a rebound of the goalkeeper.
Sturry Blues was then awarded a penalty and Ross Mole in the Harriers goal could do nothing to stop Sturry from drawing level. Both teams exchanged chances as half time approached and it was Sturry Blues who took the initiative and went in ahead.
In the second half the introduction of Jacob Blackwell added strength to the Harriers mid-field and it was from this that Cameron Tait scored his second when he took advantage of a mix up in the Sturry Blues defence and slid in to score.
Sturry Blues then extended their lead to make it 3 � 2, but pressure from the Harriers saw Daniel Van Orsouw head down to Cameron Tait who fired in from close range to complete his hat trick. As Harriers chased the game it was left to Sturry Blues to score the wining goal with minutes remaining, which Ben Hibben and Sam Hudson could do nothing about.
