| Saturday 8th February 2003 Herne Bay Harriers (away) - AFC Margate Score Half Time (0-3) Full Time Score (2-5) Harriers, short of two regular players for this game began well. However pressure on the defence resulted in a series of corners and unforced errors. Some solid tackling from Daniel Van Orsouw did not prevent Margate scoring. Harriers replied with some good crossing from the right by Sam Hudson but all goal attempts were kept out. Further quick passing and attacks down Harriers left, gave Margate a 0-3 lead at half time. The introduction of George Liddell on the left of midfield in the second half, gave Harriers more balance with Liddell scoring from a delicate lob-cross (1-3). Harriers now looked much more determined and purposeful with Thomas Inglis and Daniel Van Orsouw working hard to put Ben Tamplin in on goal to score with great skill his best goal of the season (2-3). Harriers now really pushed for an equaliser, with a shot from Thomas Inglis hitting the post, but unfortunately left themselves short at the back, conceding another (2-4). Heads dropped and Harriers leaked another (2-5). This was to be the final score of the match.
