MATCH REPORT Herne Bay Harriers U12�s held Ramsgate Youth FC for 20 minutes, but eventually lost 4 �1. This score line could have been worst but for an outstanding performance from Man of the Match Damien Moody-Smith in the Harriers Goal.
The Harriers found it difficult to break down the Ramsgate defence in the first half, but occasionally showed promise with telling balls from Michael Epps and James Putnam. The writing was on the wall for the Harriers when Ramsgate hit the woodwork twice in close succession and eventually took the lead.
In the second half the Harriers produce better football and came close to scoring with shots from Josh Wells, Jack Bishop and a header from Robert Tait. Ramsgate were awarded a penalty to extend their lead and minutes later Jonathan Culver and Carlo Montcolombi in the Harriers defence could do nothing to stop Ramsgate scoring their fourth.
With very little time on the clock the Harriers won a corner and Russell Gower found Ryan Blackwell at the far post who score a consolation goal for the Harriers.
