| TEAM U 10s Home - MATCH DATE 13/1/02 OPPONENTS FC Stripes - League HALF TIME SCORE 2-0 FULL TIME SCORE 5-3 SCORERS Adam Woollcott (3), Sam Taylor, Joshua Robinson MAN OF THE MATCH Sam Taylor MATCH REPORT Harriers U 10s performed at their best to run out 5-3 winners over close rivals FC Stripes. In a first half dominated by Harriers they only had a two goal cushion at half time to show for it. Adam Woollcott opened the scoring with a good individual goal and followed it up with a well taken penalty to give Harriers control of the game. Harriers should have scored more and were unlucky to see 2 efforts hit the bar and a couple of goal line clearances keeping Stripes in the game. Sam Taylor controlled the midfield and was well supported by John Hall to keep Harriers on top and Sam Stickings made a first class save to keep Stripes out. In the second half Harriers stretched their lead when Woollcott completed his hat-trick, Sam Taylor added a well deserved goal to win the MOM award, and Joshua Robinson fired in another penalty to take the score to 5-0. In the last 5 minutes, despite hard work from Kieran Staff in midfield Stripes managed to score 3 goals to give the score line a respectable look. Jack Vincer, Edward Govier and Darren OConnell also put in good performances to secure a fine victory. |
