MATCH REPORT In a top v bottom clash Harriers U10s had the fright of their lives before overcoming Kennington Colts 4-3.
Kennington started by far the better team and deservedly raced into a two goal lead. Harriers football was very scrappy and their usual passing game deserted them, only Sam Brett and John Hall playing to their usual standard.
Adam Woollcott pulled a goal back before Colts struck again to lead 3-1 at half time.
The second half saw Harriers improve their play and Woollcott reduced the deficit to 1, rounding off a good run by Hall. Jack Vincer started to control the midfield and Sam Brett was outstanding at the back to keep Colts in check. Luke Holland-Batt worked tirelessly down the left flank to constantly trouble Colts, and with about 10 minutes to go the impressive John Hall let fly with a shot which found the top corner to level the scores.
Harriers showed great spirit to keep coming forward and finally a cross from Woollcott was deflected into the net by an unfortunate Colts defender to give Harriers the lead for the first time.
Further good defending by Brett and Joshua Robinson ensured Harriers kept their lead until the final whistle to maintain their position at the top of the league. Sam Brett and John Hall were the joint MOM.

Team: Sam Stickings, Edward Govier, Sam Brett, Jack Vincer, Joshua Robinson, Darren OConnell, John Hall, Luke Holland-Batt, Adam Woollcott.
