As Christian hermits have from their beginings,we take our RESPONSIBILITY and DUTY to pray for the needs of society/church at-large. By Herbert Marcuese's operational definition, we are "marginal" people. We choose to live on the margins of society in a remote "desert" even if that "desert" is a Hawaiian rainforest 3,000' above seal level. Besides our daily Eucharist, Divine Office, we also pray both specifically and generally for the world's needs, always surrendering to the Divine Will in all things. We invite you to send your specific requests. It is our custom that those requests are written and kept on the paten which holds the pyx containing the Eucharist on our chapel-altar.
At Divine Liturgy/Holy Mass/Eucharist-whatever your tradition may term it these days,they are lifted up to God along with your financial offerings.It may sound crude and gross, but if you have been to our other pages, you know we are blunt,straight-shooters here so I will say,"We pray -you pay." I say that with partial tongue-in-cheek. Unlike some TV "evangelists" we do not throw away prayer requests which do not contain money. With or without $$$, we pray for you just the same. So let us know.

I capitalized the state because there are so many "Mountain Views" on the map.In addition we are part of an international prayer-team with millions of members! It is safe to say that if your request is not answered,you may as well figure God wants you to wait or He knows what you want would not be good for you in the long-run or He has something better in mind with which to bless you. Do not automatically think that you lack faith-a trick used by "faith-healers" far too much and never think that God does not hear you or us! Two scriptures come to mind as I type this," As far as the heavens are above the earth are my thoughts above your thoughts and my ways beyond your ways." The other is from the mouth of Job,"Though He slay me,yet will I serve Him." Hold that in mind at prayer and before you pray for a need,"Enter His courts with praise and thanksgiving." Like children asking a parent, it is not so much what we ask but how we make the approach. Of course you can also email us off this page or IM us then send an offering.
Please use postal money orders only made out to "Kathleen Taylor",our treasurer's secular name. Our local banks are totally unaccomodating about mainland checks. Such is our world! Same thing goes for donations to cat sanctuary which is a separate account just for them. ALL donations are tax-deductable under provisions of IRS 501c3. Asking for $ is always hard. We do not want to be confused with gospel-profiteers whom St. Paul made known and denounced even in his early times.Sadly,the church has always had them, ab initio.
