Daniels big break came when his parents had friends over for dinner, they suggested that Dan audition for a part in an Oliver Twist movie. His parents were reluctent at first but when found out that a family friend, Kate Harwood produced it they finally allowed him to go. Daniel has wanted to act since the age of 5, but he had to convince his parents first. His first major role was in the movie Harry Potter and the Philophers stone, where Dan played the lead role, Harry Potter, an eleven year old boy who thought he was normal till a giant tells him his really a wizard.
