Having just finished
reading a book in the Bethel Library about architecture and design, I decided
that it was time I try my hand at a "cupstruction" project. This
time I remembered to bring along several rolls of gray matter. No,
not the stuff in your brain, but the infinitely strong, always secure duct
tape. I had drawn up some plans in my mind earlier in the day and
was pleased to see that my idea for "tray and cup wedges assembled into
a grand archway" was going to work. After several minor setbacks
and three rolls of duct tape, my masterpiece was complete. I went
to bed satisfied that the campus would enjoy it all day. Much to
my dismay, I was informed that my triumphal archways were disassembled
during and after breakfast, depriving many students and faculty of a chance
to bask in its presence. The pictures below are for those who did
not see it, as well as for those wanting a second look.
