| When I wrote the book Saints to the Columbia it took about 10 years to do the research, interviewing, collecting materials, writing, pasting up pages and many other details for the first edition. which came out in 1992. If you use a group approach you can shorten the time considerably. by sharing the work. When I wrote the second edition in 1998 I added two new chapters. New information is always being found if you would like to see the first edition it is available on microfilm through the Salt Lake Family History Library or one of its local branch libraries. It is also located in the Fort Vancouver Regional Library, the Multnomah County Oregon Library, as well as the LDS FH library, Portland Stake, 30th & Harrison Streets and the Clark Co.
