Gondolin, in vengence of those who died in that horrible
onslaught. When our people finally reached Nan-tathren,
we rested and regathered our strength. Finally, the Valar
came to rid the world Melkor in "The War of Wrath".
Although our numbers were to few to participate in the
war, we avenged the lives of our families and friends by
hunting out and slaying the scattered groups of orcs
that had fled the battle field. After we had slaughtered many
enemies, our order grew weary of killing and made its home in
the comfort of Lorien, resting in the peace of the forest. During
this time our numbers grew few, for many of the Eldar in our
order left Middle-Earth forever. It was in this time that Men, and
Silvan Elves first joined our order, for they saw that
Heren Cuarthol was weak, and they too wished to avenge their
ancestors that died in the battles of old. Once we received news of
Sauron's betrayal, we moved to re-enforce Gil-Galad and Elendil
at Lindon and then participated in the battle Dagorlad. Our order
suffered greatly, but through strength-of-arms we survived. After
the battle we regrouped ourselves at Imladris, where we could find
healing and rest for a time. Now, Heren Cuarthol is ready to rise
and defend Middle- Earth yet again from the evils of Sauron.
