About Me Assignment

            My name is Irineo Romero, and I am 19 years old. I am studying at Cape Fear Community College, and this is my second semester. Therefore, I spend the majority of my time studying and doing auto body repairs. In my auto body class, I spend my time painting cars. I have painted a staff member’s personal car, and my father’s suburban. Therefore, I don’t have too much experience. Furthermore, I helped my cousin to fix his Mustang, and when he finished painting it was like brand new. Otherwise my family/habits/past are the most important people that I have, furthermore my beliefs and values are also important for me because that what my parents teach me, although culture and community is also a major role in my life.

I am proud to live my life full of joy, but what I most enjoy is being together with my family and playing my favorite sport, soccer. Most of my time, I spend with my family talking about how Mexico is different from USA, or we just spend time outside our house playing around and having cookouts. Therefore, for me, those days are full of joy because I am spending time with my family. Mostly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and sometimes Fridays, I spend two or three hours in the industrial park playing my favorite sport, soccer. Since I was five years old, my brothers and I played soccer everyday. It is so important that it is a part of our lives. When I played soccer, all my worries, stress, and even pain are gone because I am focused on chasing the ball and trying to make a move. Therefore, my past is full of happiness because not only my family gave support to pursue my dreams but also my friends. Somehow, my life is perfect because I have my family together, and I played what I most like, soccer.

I value education and faith. Believing in ourselves makes us better people because if we pursue our faith, there is guarantee that it is going to be achieved because not believing is not taking advantage of our future. Although faith is important, so is education. To me it is important to improve ourselves and our world. Education is one of the most important achievements that any person can accomplish not only to learn money or a better job, but to learn. Mostly, education plays a major role in our world.

I live in Leland, North Carolina, in the USA, considered to be a very calm place to live in, and economically growing. I came to Leland seven years ago. To me, Leland was boring, because there were not many activities to participate in, like playing soccer or just running around. As I was growing, so did Leland. Now, it is developing and growing socially. Leland is considered to be a fast growing place. Now, there are fast food restaurants, clothing stores, car dealerships, and gyms. Otherwise, my community doesn’t talk too much to other neighbors because no one really talks or get along, like good neighbors. Since my family and I arrived in our neighborhood, we were one of the groups of people who made more cookouts, parties, and just make a lot of noise, but at the same time, we are cool because we don’t cause any trouble but Leland is a nice place to live in.

In conclusion, I feel that I can’t ask for anything else because I do what I most enjoy, and just basically live my life to the fullest. Furthermore I have my family, also my beliefs and values are also important because that’s why my parents teach me, although culture and community is also a major role in my life.
