| Yoda's story is little known. He has been a Jedi as long as anyone can remember. In his day he was one of the greatest of the Jedi warriors and could be found at the head of the most noble charges and behind the most well planned schemes. He must have had a snese of humor and his strange backwards talking made him very popular in the senate and allowed his wisdom to be involved in some of the longest standing laws and declaration in the Republic's history. Yoda ws always very powerful with the Force and this only incresed as he he grew older. But eventualy he reached a point (aout 300 years past the normal lifespan of hi species) where even his strenght with the Force could no longer prolong old age. One of Yoda last great battles before retireing from the front lines was against one of the last Sith Lords before they dissapeared. He fought the Sith on Dagobah. The battle was climactic to the end when Yoda struck the Sith down. After the Sith Lord was killed, his Dark Side energies fled his body and entered a nearby tree. The tree twisted and deformed and created a Dark Side Nexus. durging the Clone Wars Yoda cme out of retirement to fight during the Republic's darkest days. The Sith has resurfaced and the galaxy was thrown into war. During a battle with Count DukooYoda saved Anakin Skywalker from certain death at the Sith's hand. Anakin would grow into Dukoo's replacement, Darth Vader. Darth would be the mightiest of all Sith Knights and hunted the Jedi down to near extinction. Yoda and Obi-Wan kenobi were the only to Jedi to survive. The stole Anakin's son and hid the existance of his daughter completely so Vader could not train them in the Sith ways. The two remaining Jedi had to go into hiding to escape the fury of Darth Vader and his master. Obi-Wan went to the remote planet of Tatooine to watch over Anakin's son Luke while Yoda returned to Dagobah so the Dark Side nexus created so long ago would mask his presence from detection. It was after Obi-Wan was struck down by Vader that Obi-Wan sent Luke to train under Yoda. Yoda broke all Jedi rules of age and training steps to get Luke prepared. The universe needed a Jedi moreso than ever and Luke was their last hope. Yoda could no longer put off time and died of old age before completeling Luke's training but not before telling Luke about his lost sister.. Luke went to face Darth Vader a final time. During the fight Vader threatened Luke's sister and in his rage Luke tapped into his own Dark Side and defeated Vader in combat. Bt Luke could not bring himself to kill his own father. Vaders master, the master of the Sith and orcastrater of the Republic's downfall attacked Luke. In Vader a swelling of pride and love broke through his cold heart and his struck down his own master. But Vader was badly injured i the assault and died soon after. It was at this point that Yoda, Obi-Wan, and even the spirit of the vanquished Palpatine all relised it was not Anakin but Luke the prophecy spoke of and Yoda's mistaked were made right in him. |
