In the morning Jesus was taken before Pontius Pilate. The sanhedrin told Pilate that Jesus had disrupted their religion. Pilate did not care but they also accused Him of proclaiming Himself king and under Roman law that was treason. Pilate ordered Jesus in. He told Jesus that he was accused of preaching perverted doctrine. Pilate also asked him if He was King of the Jews. |

Jesus answered,"If my kingdom were of this world, my followers would have fought to prevent me from being captured." Pilate told Him that if He speaks of a kingdom He must be a king. "Are you a king?" Pilate asked. Jesus replied,"I am." |

Jesus continued saying,"I was born for one purpose, to bear witness to the truth, all who can accept the truth hear my voice." Pilate asked Him,"And what is the truth?" Jesus did not answer anymore. Pilate found no fault in Jesus so he ordered Jesus to flogged as a token of Roman justice. |
