After the supper Jesus led the disiples to the Mount of Olives into a garden called Gethsemane. There Jesus told His diciples to pray for the trials to come. Their eyes were heavy from watching and fell asleep. Jesus alone faced the horror that He would undergo for the sins of mankind. So much was his agony that his sweat became like great drops of blood falling to the ground. (Luke 22:44) |
