| The Rialto Bridge I was extremely fascinated with this place. The buildings' foundation submerged in the water, the structures built with sophisticated art works, boats going criss-cross in the canals, it is really a unique place. In the evening, the buildings are lit with different colors and the lights reflection in the water gives that pretty & romantic atmosphere. |
| It was already evening when we reached Venice, we immediately took a train to the Island. We were amazed seeing the breath-taking sight of the place. We took the boat going to the St. Mark' Square. The following day we took a cruise & head again to the St. Mark's Square and enjoyed the escorted tours to the Doge Palace & St. Peter's Basilica. We had gondola ride and visited the Murano Glass Showroom. |
| The Palace of the Doge We had a very good tour inside the palace. Every corner reveals a great art & power. The ceilings are coverned with paintings & gold frames. Above on the left is the ballroom, it is the largest room without pillars in the middle. Later part of the tour, we visited the prison cell passing through the "Bridge of Sigh". Apparently it is the bridge connecting to the prisons. It is known for its 2 windows which allows the prisoner to have a glimpse of the outside world before they go to the cells. |
| St. Mark's Square & St. Mark's Basilica We had a tour inside the St. Peter's Basilica. The facade of the Cathedral highlights the artistic mosaics. In the square, feeding the pigeons is really amusing. I can sit here the whole day enjoying the sight & relaxing. It such a nice place. In the evening, the square looks so pretty with the lights on. Coffee areas on the side with very soothing music played makes this place so romantic. I really love this place so much. |

| The Gondola Ride Our stay in Venice will not be complete without going for a Gondola ride with Italian music. It was a great experience. |
