The Royal Palace.
The four buildings of the Royal Palace were built by noblemen during the 18th century. Residence of the royal family since the former residence, Christiansborg Palace, burned down in 1794.
(The Little Mermaid)
The most famous landmark of Copenhagen. A bronze statue by Edvard Eriksen, inspired by a fairy tale of Hans Christian Andersen.
This was built as a royal summer residence by King Christian IV in 1606-34. The King designed the Castle himself in Dutch Renaissance style and lived here until he died in 1648.
The Castle was at that time outside the ramparts of Copenhagen with its own kitchen and flower gardens.
In 1838 Rosenborg Castle was opened as a museum to the public and the royal crown jewel are kept in the castle cellars.

It is famours for its golden spire, where you can see the arial view of the city.
A massive granite castle, surrounded by canals. Until the fire of 1795 this was the Royal residence, here you will find: The Danish Parliament, Royal Reception Chambers and The Supreme Court.
