Heppner does not have
very much going on downtown. There is
Les schwabs and by that there is what they call the ELKS Club and across
the street there is the Heppner Town Chamber
by that there is the Post Office and then the Peterson's Jewelery Store.
Then you cross the street on the same side there would
be the Murray's Drug Store and it has flowers, Espresso, and Drugs. In
the same building there would be Victorian Rose store that used to
be apart of Murray's and then across the street would be Heppner Family Food's
store and then there would be one one side there would be GD's
restaurant and on
the other side there would be Hair I Am and the DMV and if you go
arcoss from the DMV there would be a space where there is a garden by the Heppner
Motel. Across
from the Heppner Motel there would be the Cornerstone galley and to the
right of that is the Willow Creek Diner and to the left of that is the
Libaray and in the same
building there is the Museum and then there is the Heppner Town Park.
from there is just housing and there are churches and above that
there is the Heppner High school, home of the Mustangs and in downtown on the opposite side
there is the Elemamerty School, home of the Colts. I have lived in Heppner in the
third grade and then I moved to Prineville and then in five years I
moved back to Heppner in the tenth grade. I enjoy it here and the best
part of the year is the St. Particks day here because Heppner is big on
St. pats day, but trust me it is hard to get a job here because it is a
very small town and things are going out of business fast.
