Kokura
2 April 2004
Here is Momoka and I at Kokura Castle. I went up to Kokura for some cherry blossom viewing and to hang out with her one more time before she headed off to Australia for a year-long working holiday.  She also took me to her family's "unagi" (eel) restaurant. They have an open kitchen where I got to watch a chef impale, slice open, skin and filet squirming live eel in seconds.  No picture, "zannen ne" (too bad!).  Sounds gruesome, but really delicious. I recommend it to anybody who visits Kokura.
Before quitting to go to Australia, Momoka worked as a graphic designer.  Here is a little painting she did of me!
