RANK AND PROMOTION
Normally cadets will start the school year with the rank they held last year. Academic deficiencies or poor conduct reports from the school administration negates this policy. The permanent rank and organizational structure will be established when the needs of the unit are determined.

CRITERIA FOR PROMOTION:
A. Assignment to a leadership position and placed in charge of other cadets.

B. Proficiency to include appearance, conduct, and recommendation by superiors.

C. Academic Record
(1) Officers must have an overall average of 78 and no failing grades from the previous semester.

(2) NCO's, (E-5's and above) must have a 73 average and no more than one failing grade the previous semester

(3) Cadets who do not meet this academic standard at the end of each semester will be placed on probation for one semester. If they do not meet the standard the following semester they will be reduced in rank. It is the responsibility of each cadet to be aware of their standing during each six-weeks report period and ensure they meet the standards at the end of each semester.
