Although not part of the uniform, hairstyles and shaves have a direct bearing on the appearance of the cadet unit. Hair must be neatly groomed. The length of the hair or bulk of the hair must not be excessive, cannot be ragged in appearance or distract from the general appearance of the cadet. ALL CADETS, MALE AND FEMALE, HAIRSTYLES WILL CONFORM TO THOSE PUBLISHED FOR REGULAR ARMY SOLDIERS. Male hair will not fall over the ears or touch the shirt collar. Females must wear their hair in such a manner that it will allow for the proper wearing of the female hat/cap and permit an open view of the shoulder rank insignia. Sideburns on males will not extend below the ear canal. Mustaches will not touch the upper lip nor be wider than the corners of the mouth. Good grooming is the key for all cadets to show proper respect to the uniform. |
