This is a hint/instruction file for the Chinese (patched to have some English when a girl wins) adult anime fighting game "Virgin Girls Fighter" aka "VG Fighter", "V.G. Fighter", "Virgin Girls", or "VGF" from Tan Ton Nerw, a Taiwanese company. It was patched by BAO, but there may be an unpatched version around. Don't worry, the patch only changes the text you see when a girl wins and taunts the loser, and there are some bugs in it too. No special language display software (DOSJ, NJWIN) needed for this one. I didn't have to run any setup software either, besides installing the game into its own directory. Game is about 3.7 MB ZIPped, almost 6 MB uncompressed. No mouse used, only keyboard. No sound (see below). No problems with running under Windows 95! Graphics look like VGA 640*400 16 colors. May not need any EMS or XMS memory, but I didn't test for that. Instructions for the BAO patched release: There is no password on the version I got, so just unzip it somewhere. First off, delete BAO.doc - it's a messed up file that lists other BAO releases, but none of them are hentai games, so who cares. There's some useful information in the BAOBCEI.NFO file, so I'll repeat it here so you can delete that file as well: Virgin Girls Tanton Nerw/Tandon Networks Supplied by BAO, Cracked by BCEI & BAO Computing Release Date 11/30/94 Original Protection: Password Requirements: 486DX PC, 8 Mb RAM Sound Card recommended Virgin Girls: 6 beautiful women fight for the Super VG crown. run install.com to install email: bao_team[AT}hotmail{DOT)com (bunch of greets snipped) Next, run SETUP.EXE, and use the up and down arrow keys to correctly select your sound card or lack thereof. But I never got any sound out of the game, even with moving all the .efc files into a EFFECTS sub-directory. So, you could skip this step. Now, do you really want this game to be named: c:\windows\system\word95.exe? I didn't think so. Delete: EXEC.BAT (all it does is call PLAY.BAT) INSTALL.BAT (sort of installs the game, but does several dumb things, like assuming it's on C:, there's a pkunzip.exe in the path, renames VG.EXE to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WORD95.EXE (!?), etc.) INSTALL.COM (does basically the same as INSTALL.BAT, its a compiled batch file!) PLAY.BAT (just does a VG, which happens to run VG.COM, which...) (I actually left this one in, so I could have something besides VG.EXE to click on) VG.BAT (runs \windows\system\word95.exe, ugh!) VG.COM (runs c:\windows\system\word95.exe, ugh!) XINSTALL.BAT (another useless batch file) All you need to remember after all this deleting is: SETUP to set up your sound card, VG or PLAY to run the game Start the game with PLAY.BAT or VG. Press 5 times to pass the copy protection screen, or you may have to press a top-row number key from 1 to 8 several times. Those 6 girls are the fighters, but there may be a secret "Chito" character in the game (going by the CHITO.TXT file), or it's the original Chinese CHIHO.TXT left in by mistake. This game is supposedly translated into English, but the only place I've seen any is in the comments the girls make when a match ends with a winner. The rest looks like it was part of the original graphics. Since BAO stuck their logo on the H graphics too, they must have had a way to view and modify those files outside the game. The English is pretty bad too, but since this only shows up at the end of a fight, it's really not important. Press the key to take a PCX snapshot of the game screen. It should beep one or more times. Unfortunately, each beep is a separate PCX file, and some of them are damaged. Go through them and throw away any duplicates or bad ones. The two players use different parts of the keyboard: Player 1 uses the numeric keypad for directions and the arrow keys for actions, particularly the left arrow for doing things. Player 2 uses "R T Y F G H V B N" for directions and "Q W E A S D Z X C" for actions, particularly Z for doing things. If you play the "GAME START" option, you have to beat all the other girls with the one you control, but you can switch between which girl you are after a round of 2 or 3 fights. Each time you beat a girl, you get an H pic with "BAO ANIMATION" on it. Beat her twice (best 2 out of 3) and you move on to the next. Who you fight depends on who you start with. If you switch girls between rounds, strange things may happen with who you have to fight, and how many girls you must beat to win the game. I suggest you use Manami to beat everybody else in GAME START mode, just keep jumping and flailing away. I would guess that some of the pictures that I got of Manami with money and near a broken window will be different if you get another girl to beat all 5 opponents. But I'm amazed that silly old me, who doesn't like fighting games, was able to finish this one at all. With no sound or documentation, and not-so-great hentai, this one is going back in the ZIP archive. I'd actually rate this one below Metal & Lace. Somebody posted on a hentai wwwboard that you have to put the .efc files in a /effects directory. I don't know how you can figure this out from the contents of the game's files. I tried it, and still got no sound. Ditto for an "/EFC" directory. The .efc files are really .WAV files too. I'm not sure why there is a YUMEMI1.IPS file in the ZIP file that I downloaded. It might be a patch file for the YUMEMI translation (to YUMEMI01.TXB?). If you have anything to add to this file, let me know.
