This is a hint/cheat file for the "Queen's Cup", also known as 
"Gambler Queen's Cup" or just "Queen", Dos/V adult anime game 
from Queen-Soft. It includes system requirements and a simple set 
of directions for seeing all the sexy pictures in the game.

Li Sun had this to say: In this game, you bet on horse races for 
cash to meet and have fun with each of the three girls in Queen's 
club/bar. The only hard part of the game is getting the cash. 
That is easily solved with simple doctoring... Oh, this game does 
have an ending, happy I won't say it is.

"Queen's Cup", called Queen from now on, will work with DOS/V, 
but all it needs is the DOSJ program (I used it with the JKF font 
files from Angel, and the font files supplied with DOSJ). No 
expanded memory needed to play, although some (512K?) is needed 
for sound/music to work (PMDIBM). Graphics are apparently VGA 
640*480*16. Mouse is supported but not necessary. Keyboard keys 
needed are up and down arrow and Enter (maybe you need more in 
the horse racing part of the game, but I didn't play it). Sound 
is apparently auto-detection of Sound Blaster compatibles (a Pro 
Audio Spectrum 16 worked with no special parameters), or can be 
turned off from the main menu. Run the game by typing "START". 
That should automatically load the sound driver program, which is 
unloaded when you exit the game.

Hey! The main menu has words in English! Although "Graphics Mode" 
doesn't sound very promising, it's the Photoshop for the game. 
The three options in it are for the 3 girls in the game. If you 
got a reasonably clean copy of Queen, selecting any one of the 3 
will get you a momentarily black screen, and then the main menu 
again. If you're willing to do a little binary file editing, and 
forgo the pleasure of scrolling through hundreds of menus, to see 
all the sexy pictures in the game, the patch is coming right up!

Do a binary file edit on the GAME.HIS file using whatever 
program/utility you have available. This is a 603 byte file, but 
you only need the first few bytes. Alter/edit the values in bytes 
6, 7, and 8 to all be 3. Making them larger than 3 can cause 
Queen to skip pictures and possibly crash. That's it! Save the 
altered file, re-run Queen (START), and check out the girls!

But if you want to play this the hard way, I'd also suggest you 
give yourself a LOT of money. Getting all the pictures for one 
girl can cost about 3,000,000! If you do some more binary 
editing, the money values for the 6 saved games start at bytes 
67, 166, 265, 364, 463, and 562. The money values are all 4 byte 
integers, but I didn't need more than 9,999,999. The first 6 
bytes (0 through 5) in GAME.HIS control which saved games are 
available - 255 for yes, 0 for no.

There's a QUEENTIP.ZIP file out there with some screen shots that 
tries to explain how the betting screen works, but with the above 
patches, you don't need to know.

There is also a QUEENSAV.ZIP file that has a patched GAME.HIS 
file, as well as a quick description of how to get through the 
quiz at the end of the game. You can get that one from Li Sun.
