This file is for the adult game "Planet of Lust" from Free Spirit 
Software, Inc. Since this game was made before 1995, and is being 
distributed now as "abandonware", it deserves some information about 
it so you can decide if it's for you:

The challenge that the game gives you before you can really begin 
playing is to enter a word from the game's manual. That word is simply 
"lust" (without the quotes), followed by a carriage return/Enter.

Planet of Lust (PoL) is the second of 3 games from Free Spirit with 
the main characters of Brad Stallion & his Big Thruster. This one 
introduces the villain Dr. Dildo, who appears in the 3rd game "Sex 
Olympics" as well. And yes, it is embarrassing to have to write 
this... Unfortunately, PoL still has the text-based interface used in 
"Sex Vixens from Outer Space". The advice given by The Ghost Wind in 
his walkthrough for that game was helpful: cheat by looking through 
the game executable to figure out the commands the idiotic parser is 
looking for.

Here are some common commands:
"Page Up" key - back up through long text when "Up" is lit up on screen
"Page Down" key - forward through long text when "Dn" is lit up
Ctrl-s combination - ask Sandie for advice, often it's bad, could also 
   do "status" or "stat" as a substitute
Ctrl-l combination - that's an "L", Look, could also do "l" or "look" 
   as a substitute
Ctrl-i combination - that's an "I", Inventory, could do "i" or 
   "inv" as a substitute; when naked, you won't see anything else that 
   you might be carrying!
up, down, right, left arrow keys - N, S, E, W movement; can also do 
   "n", "s", "e", "w" as a substitute
"u", "d" - up, down movement
"where" - tells you what general area you're in
"start" - try again if you get stuck or die
"quit" - try to return to the present day from this sad old game
There is no way to save/restore in this game!

Walkthrough for PoL:
Commands that you enter will be in all capital letters, between 
brackets, like this: [LUST]. Press carriage return/Enter after each. 
The actual commands that you enter can be in lowercase.
"Press any key to continue" responses, or scrolling through long 
descriptions, are not shown here.

Press the Page Down key until you're done with the introduction.
You can skip it and enter [LUST] at anytime to start playing if 
you've seen it before.

[REMOVE CLOTH] - while wandering a jungle planet naked seems stupid, 
this will avoid some inventory appearance problems later, because 
you'll lose your clothes in the cave if you don't leave them here
[S][S][S] - to airlock
[OPEN]
[S] - to outside of ship
[S][E] - to fruit tree
[GET APPLE][W][S] - to cavern entrance
[S][EAT APPLE][VASE] - what vase? trust me...
[SEX] - believe me, she's there for nothing else...
you can try pre- or post-coital things like TOUCH and KISS...
[ASK][E][VASE] - fills vase with Passion Water
[E][N][N] - gets you back to airlock
[U][N][N] - to control room
[GET CLOTH] - just so you don't get the seat dirty... :)
[D][BLAST][1] - to the Space Platform!
[U][S][S] - in ship main corridor
At this point, you could veer off and put ship's water in the vase 
so the Princess won't have sex with you, but why?
[S][S][OPEN][S] - and isn't that a nice scent of knockout gas?
[GIVE VASE] - she jumps your bones
[BLAST] or anything but [TALK] will get you a screen of Dr. Dildo 
pointing a gun at you. [TALK] shows an image of the Princess leading 
you down a hallway; avoid this because you can't win if you get to 
that point. The best way to prolong the agony is PUNCH then GRAB 
LEVER, but you always lose no matter what you do next.
[BLAST] - why? just because! AND YOU WIN!
move any direction to get message, but you have to QUIT or KILL ME 
to try again - it won't let you START.

Ways to Die:
Some of these allow you to enter [START] and try again, some don't.
1. NAP, SLEEP or even GET in Brad's cabin.
2. OPEN/TAKE in Cargo Hold.
3. OPEN at the airlock before the Big Thruster goes anywhere.
4. BLAST if you don't SIT or DOWN first.
5. if you don't follow BLAST with a valid # from 1-3, including a 
   different one than where you already are
6. Stuck and have to QUIT if you go to #1 Space Station without 
   getting something to drink first
7. Going to #2 Erotica
8. LOOK SNAKE or TOUCH SNAKE in the jungle on Arboria
9. TOUCH or ROCK at female statue in jungle
10. Brad drinks the liquid from the Pool of Everlasting Passion
11. SWIM in the Pool, or even just WATER
12. GRAB GUN anytime Dildo is around
13. KILL ME
14. KILL SANDIE

Strange Quirks:
Unless you REMOVE CLOTH on the ship, Brad will lose his clothes on 
Arboria when he screws the priestess. This even though the text 
says he gets dressed and is given a vase - oopsie!
No inventory items are ever shown if Brad is naked.
The "stone vase" will break if dropped, but the game will still let 
you fill it, even if you don't take it.
You can fill the vase with water from Brad's cabin, but the Princess 
won't accept it, so she won't have sex. You can still win the game 
though!
You can [GO] at the airlock to immediately go to the Control Room, 
but that doesn't really save any keystrokes.
[PHONE] in the cabin.
[MUSIC] in the 4-way corridor of the ship.
The "good ending" says that the next game in the series of Brad 
Stallion games would be "Bride of the Robot", but there's no mention 
of that anywhere that I can find. Possibly that was the intention, 
and it was changed later, or released only on the Amiga.

Most of the graphics in my copy of the game looked like they had bad 
palette settings. Only the images of the ship and aboard ship were OK, 
and I think those were copied from Sex Vixens. But I didn't expect that 
much to begin with. Anyway, these were sad graphics to begin with, and 
time hasn't been kind since.


Overall recommendation: If you have this game archived away, and want 
to use this file to get through it once, here ya go! Otherwise, I 
wouldn't bother trying to find this game. I just made this file because 
there seemed to be nothing else available to help play this sad old 
game. Avoid unless you like torturing yourself with the worst of 
cryptic text parser commands, buggy code, and shoddy graphics from the 
dawn of adult computer games. At least it didn't crash...
