This is a cheat file for the "Cest La Vie" (CLV) adult anime game 
for Windows in Japanese from May-Be Soft (1997). I know enough 
French to tell that it should be "C'est La Vie", but I'll go with 
what's used in the game. 
Also, the link to the company's website (on my H games table 
page) doesn't make sense until you understand that May-Be Soft is 
apparently now affiliated with Truse (or at least WAS, the last 
time I checked).

The game is distributed as several RAR files; the version I got 
was 3 for a total of 3.44 MB, but it had bogus .WAV files for the 
music. A piece of information that I had about the game before I 
got the files was that the game was 19MB, but when uncompressed 
mine was only about 6.3 MB. I'm guessing that there either was a 
large amount of music and sound files with the game (about 13MB 
worth), or my info was wrong. If you like, you can try replacing 
the .WAV files with your own favorites, or just delete all 7 of 
them after you uncompress the files.

Li Sun's site has a saved game file, but I didn't check to see if 
it was like what I provided below.

You need Windows 9X to play the game, with a mouse and some kind 
of sound device. The version that I got didn't need to be 
installed, but SETUP.EXE defaults to C:\WCLV (press right button 
to cancel).
Japanese text display software is a good idea for playing this 
one under non-Japanese Windows. For example, it will reveal that 
the middle option at the title screen has "CG" in it (yes, that's 
the photoshop). (The top button is "New Game" and the bottom one 
is "Exit" (with confirmation).) The menu options across the top 
of the window are already in English.
I strongly suggest you play this game with Option/MUSIC OFF and 
Size/Normal (640*400). The first setting stops the continual 
dinging noise (at least in my copy, the 7 .WAV files are the same 
"ding"), the second avoids the graphics being scaled up or down 
too much. That is, if you have at least a 640*480*256 colors 
video capability; that's the minimum I can go to, and the game 
still worked - but 800*600*16 bits is much nicer... You should 
also set Message/No Wait - my system is acting a little strange 
lately, so I'm not sure if the delays that occur at some screens 
(particularly when there's nothing on but solid black) are part 
of the game or not.
If you don't want to be bothered with turning the music setting 
off every time, you could also just delete all 7 .WAV files in 
the WAV directory - ah, silence!
I couldn't find a way to speed through the game, besides setting 
Message/No Wait. You'll just have to do a lot of mouse clicking 
and waiting. Also couldn't find a way to avoid that annoying 
transition effect between graphics screens. Right-click when a 
menu or text box is on the screen to hide it (good for getting 
screen captures of the H scenes the first time through).

To turn on all the sexy pictures in the photoshop without playing 
the game, you need to fiddle with the Windows Registry.
Go to (create keys if necessary):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\May-Be SOFT\CestLaVie\savedata
and it should contain:
common (binary value) "FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 00 00".
This will give you all 48 pictures possible in the photoshop.
If running REGEDIT or directly playing with the Registry bothers 
you, you could do the following instead. Copy the 5 lines below 
into the file CLV.REG, then double-click on it, and click on Yes. 
That will do the same thing as what I said above.

This is a short multiple- (i.e. "no") choice Japanese H AVG with 
only one ending. I played it picking options almost at random, 
and I got through to the end with 100% CG in under 2 hours. When 
you finish, the middle option on the title screen should now 
appear. Choose it (CG) to see all the sexy pictures in the game, 
and also everything that isn't a fixed location image (studio, 
playground, street, etc.). Graphics are pretty good, although all 
I could figure out about the story was that the main character 
was male, an artist who paints nude girls, and he apparently has 
no trouble convincing any cute girl he meets to pose and/or have 
sex with him (including the apparently under-age redhead). No 
replay value, but good H images (aside from the virgin redhead). 
I think there's a mistake in one image, where the boy is shown 
with gray hair and the girl with light brown hair, and her hair 
should be gray (the girl in the glasses and yellow dress), but no 
matter. Unable to tell if this game had Japanese voice (probably 
not), and in my copy the music wasn't there.
