"Jewel Knights Crusaders" is a hentai adventure game, originally in 
Japanese from ZeroCool (part of CD Bros.), translated to English by G 
Collections. It is a parody of the fighting team shows popular in 
Japan, which are seen elsewhere such as Power Rangers or Sailor Moon. 
I'll abbreviate the game's name to "JKC" from now on.

This particular version can be played on any Windows PC in English 
that has a CD-ROM drive. The installer will put about 600 MB on your 
hard drive, and you still have to use the game disc to start the 
game.

There are two walkthrough files available on the Internet for JKC at 
GameFAQs, and reviews as well. So I don't need to do much in this 
file. In general, I agree with what you can read there, as well as 
nearly all of what you'll see at even SomethingAwful.com. Certainly
just the possibility of perceiving this game as encouraging 
pedophilia (with Hisui) should have destroyed the chances for 
bringing this game over from Japan. And the blood!

It's not too hard to figure out that the save games and any photoshop 
in JKC are in the JEWELUS.SAV file. But I didn't bother to figure out
how to patch that file so you don't have to actually go through the 
game the required 5 times. You can save the game at the first 
decision point (where you have to choose a girl) to save yourself 
some time. And you can always use "turbo text" mode to skip through 
lots of the verbiage - if all you care about is the pictures anyway.

The game's GUI is rather good: you get 3 pages of 10 save slots each, 
and each one has a thumbnail picture and short text description of 
where you saved along with date and time. The omake (Extra) area has 
not only the CG and music, but can also do "Flashback" of the sexy 
scene where the chosen image appears. There's also a jukebox of all 
the game's music tracks.

If you put the game disc in your CD-ROM drive, even if you haven't 
installed the game you will get a graphic menu with the option to view 
a CG Art Collection. This will start a web browser where you can see 
several line art images from the game. The files for this are in the 
"omake" folder on the disc.

Hentai content:
Large breasts usually, except for the lolicon (too young to be anywhere 
but grade school) character. Forced anal sex, virgin rape, "regular" 
rape, etc.; the list of offenses is pretty long. The "Harem" ending is 
where they went even further with the fetishes: catgirl, gigantic 
lactating breasts, and dickgirl (futanari).

Review:
The translation has a few glitches. It's obvious that at least they 
tried to do a good job. The graphics are clear, including several 
different styles, and the help file and in-game controls are 
complete and done well. But I would have given up on bringing over 
this violence- and kiddy-porn-laden title before it ever saw the 
light of day in America.
