LINKS:www.stephenolin.com www.henryrepeating.com When I first seen the Henry Repeating Arms Company Big Boy .44 magnum Rifle on the web I became very interested in this gun for many reasons. Looking at the big beefy solid brass receiver it is reminicent of the original Henry rifles that I read about as a boy. These guns were the ones that you "...loaded on Sunday and shot all week." according to one Civil War soldier. The Henry Repeating Arms Big Boy rifles also look a lot like the old Henry guns. The Big Boy shoots 44 magnums instead of the .44 rimfire cartridge. Well aware of the Henry Repeating Arms Company slogan "Made in America and Priced Right" (being an American engraver I prefer to engrave American guns) I contacted Anthony Imperato, President of the company and asked him to send me a Henry Big Boy to engrave. After viewing my other work and exchanging the necessary paperwork Anthony Imperato sent me one of these fine rifles.The word "fine" is an appropriate description. My chisel told me about the of quality of the Big Boy as it cleanly sliced through the casting free of problem areas. I fell in love with this gun! No hard spots, no discloration, no pitting in the brass. When I engraved the gun pictured here, there were no surprises, no disappointments. A functional work of art is easier to achieve with quality guns such as the Henry Repeating Arms Big Boy .44 magnum Rifle.."Made in America and Priced Right".
