up till now three woman in nigeria, has been convicted to stoning. a little group of female lawyers support them, and with the law and the koran in hand, they have decided, to speak against the islamic judged.

january 2003. Safiya Husseini, Amina Lawal and Fatima Usman. these are the names of three woman from nigeria, who has something in common. they have all been convicted to death by stoning, on grounds of sex outside marriage, who resulted in pregnancy. and they have all been assigned the same three lawyers : Hauwa Ibrahim, Maryam Uwais og Hurera Akilu-Atta.

the three female lawyers, are namely the frontier of a group of people in nigeria. who the latest years, have used most of their energy and strength, on fighting for human rights in the country. and against islamic, male judges interpretation of the penal code of the islamic law-system sharia.

unjust law, that violates human rights, are unfortunately seen in many bad democarties around the world. even Denmark has made laws for fugtitivs, that are violating human rights. nigeria is just one example of a long line of countries, that surpresses woman, children, minorities and similar groups in their country.
