she was a great engaged nordic author and critic.

sara lidman wrote over 20 novels, and recieved in 1980 the nordic councils literaturprice for the novel "Vredens b�rn".

her sympathies where always with the victims of power, either with the workers in northern sweden, blacks in south-africa, or farmers in vietnam, that fights against USA.

she was a frontfigur of the left movment in the nordic countries in the sixties and seventties.

latest she wrote a collection of essays - body and soul - .
she is upset by the earths disseases ,the terrorismn, the powercrazy, the warplans, rape etc. . she is worried about, how very terrible it goes for humanity in the recent years. precis as if nothing has changed since her youth.
