the 10 of july 1976 a terrible chemical-disaster hit the town seveso in italy. a poison gas leakage on ground of a leak in a pressure-kettle. the leak was a dioxin-leak, that causes severe damage to people.

about 500 children, in the area, got skin-diseases. and over 100 children were born deformed, and several of them died of cancer.

EU has an all to easy way of handling chemicals. the law about chemicals should be a lot stricter. and blacklisting of chemicals a lot more extensive.

a similar accident happen in the town bhopal in india. on the 3 december 1984. a dangerous gas-leakage happend, and about 20.000 people died.

the rules for producing and using chemicals, ought to be much stricter. and many chemicals should simply be banned.

to many chemicals are given free each year in EU, and they are offen not tested enough before they are given free. and offen it is the firm itself that do the testing, and the security around the chemicals, without any checking from outside.
