Another try at those glitter tattoos.
I had a party scheduled last Saturday which originally was going to be face painting. However, the mix of 7 yr. old boys and girls turned out to be a pool party outdoors. I had brought my stencils, so we had a nice mixture of glitter and metal tattoos. The tricky part was making sure the girls were dry enough to get the stencils to adhere so I could apply the adhesive and glitter. I also had to make sure the glue was dry so that it didn't come off in the pool, since they are waterproof. It all worked nicely, the weather was great, the girls were happy and I had a chance to train my assistant.
She came in handy when my method for sorting stencils didn't work as well as I hoped. I used a jewelry hanging bag with pockets, but they tended to fall out when I transported the bag.
I am going with a different method of a file folder with pockets. I will put the samples on a poster, then select the one needed from the file. They should be easier to transport, and less likely to fall out on the road when carting the whole works out to the car.
Thank goodness it wasn't a busy road. It was kind of funny.
I also bought a rolling box so I can return the big yellow cart back to school. I will miss the pockets though, perhaps I can make some kind of cover to hold those extras.
Well, its 19 days of school left, and June 5 is my last official day of work. I already have a class lined up for Homelink next year. Pre-school Art. Should be fun. I am looking forward to working one day a week.
