Entry for July 5, 2008
Well its been a while since I blogged. Couldn't decide whether to continue or just go ahead and put in those random thoughts.
Summer vacation is going well, I am getting some things done in the house and practicing more face painting. I did a couple on a certain pregnant person before she delivers. I had fun with those and you can see them on the website.
Yesterday was the 4th and the neighbors were up late setting off the loudest fireworks I have ever heard. Til midnight at least. I was grateful it had rained so much so I didn't worry about having my house set on fire. As I left earlier, they were in the street playing with their pyrotechnics. They consisted of young males holding beer bottles while setting fire to their various fireworks. Yeah, thats a winning combination - youth, alcohol and fire. Well, I guess they survived. I didn't hear any sirens close up last night, but there was a lot of Chinese litter this morning when I walked the dog, and the cars were gone.
Maybe it will be quiet til New Years at least. But who knows, in Florida they don't need much of an excuse to set off fireworks. Any minor holiday will do.
Next week I get to visit Texas. Guess I will have to put an addendum on the phone message or learn how to access it remotely.
