A refund!
I got a refund check from my car insurance yesterday. The explanation was that there was a change in my coverage. YaY! I looked at the amount, and it was.... ready? for .03. Yes, three cents! Does anyone want to calculate the amount of money it cost them to mail, print and pay someone to send that piece of paper worth three cents to me? Why bother? Would I notice if they didn't send to me? And I guess they couldn't credit my account, because I might go with a different company when its time to renew and they would have 3 pennies rolling around in their accounting system. That would totally mess things up.
well, guess I will just put it in my savings account and watch it grow with interest. Maybe in a hundred years, it will be worth something. Maybe not.
I read a blog about the value of gold being so high, it means that the dollar is worth very little.
Some people talk about stockpiling food for a years worth. We do that here, we call it hurricane food. Tuna and granola bars, anyone? I do think I will lay in more food. Its the dog and cats that get fed well. I am trying to go more natural with them, they don't really need artificial colors in their food. And they really like the rice/chicken food I cook, using Dr. Fox's recipe. Jane seems more healthy and less chunky. The cats like it too.
I read that Ellen DeGeneres is coming up with an organic dog food that humans can eat too. Don't we already have something like that? I could eat my chicken/rice recipe if I had to. It just has some wheat germ, cider vinegar and vitamins added. Yum.
