Good will hunting! Armor plating optional, sani-wipes suggested.
Middle daughter and I spent Thursday hunting thrift store clothes at the Good will clearance center. This is the place that sells clothes by the pound, and some items seperately. They open early and bring large rolling table type bins out every few minutes. There is a gaggle of women that descend on the table as soon as it comes out and starts fighting over the contents, pushing, shoving and chewing each other out in foreign languages.
The resemblance to vultures descending on their prey or lions fighting over a zebra are quite strong.
I didn't have my camera with me, or it would have made a great Youtube video.
After a few minutes, we would see what was left or go through what was cast aside on another table. I found some new ties with Disney characters, some pajama pants that match my Nick and Nora cloud sheets, and some nice Guy Harvey t shirts that will go to my brother in law.
After we took a break for lunch, we went back, searched some more, and noticed which people were still there. It was a little slower, some of the shoppers took stuff out to the car and returned.
I noticed their method was take what you want, see if it fits later. then some items ended up back on the tables. Lots of fun.
We then wended out way to the World Thrift, where we had to be more choosy, as they do cash only. It was Senior discount day, so I paid for anything not red tag. Discounts don't apply to red tags. That means the stuff I really liked was red tag.
I hate passing up nice cotton blouses, but $6. is more than I want to pay. Did find a nice pair of dress black shoes for half off. I am downsizing my dress shoes to lower heels.
You might find some of my former Fluevogs on Ebay soon.
Well, one more week. Hope to accomplish more.
Faith Farm is coming next week to pick up a bedroom set. Lets see, what else can I give them while they are here?
