Thoughts from your favorite blonde...
A little humiliation is good for the soul
Cathy and I had a fun time tonight. I had ordered tickets to Handel's Messiah at Coral Ridge, so I had to pick them up at the Will Call window. After we parked, we lined up to pick up our tickets. The line seemed kind of long, and there were two windows, so as we were talking, Cathy mentioned that it looked like there were some people cutting in at the other window.

I of course righteously called out to them, "Are you in line? The line is over here."

They answered, "not for Will Call."

Oh sure. We were waiting for 15 minutes in the purchase line. We stepped over to the other window where we served right away, and the lady I had spoken too said something about "Screaming for nothing."

Well, I didn't exactly scream. More like, hey you, are you cutting?

I just blamed it on blonde moment.

This happens a lot when I am with someone else, because I am not as alert or checking on things, because we are chatting.

I knew there was a will call window. I have done this before. I just thought there were a lot of people waiting. But come to think of it, there were a lot of people buying tickets right before the program.

Just God teaching me patience or humility or something.

When we did get to our seat, there were ladies sitting on our numbered spots, so we just sat next to them. She told us there were five of them and she didn't think the seats were numbered. I pointed out the numbers at the bottom of the pew, but she didn't think it mattered. I didn't care, but when the usher came by to seat more people and corrected them, we all had to get up and rearrange.

I have a policy of never arguing with someone older than myself.
