Trading pets for children - March 27, 2007

The children are gone, so my energy goes to the pets now, and so does my money. I took Lady Jane to the vet today to get her - ahem- anal glands done. She also has infections in her ears, so I left with antibiotics as well as ear drops, and made an appointment to get her teeth cleaned. When I am finished, I will have spent enough to get two pairs of boots on clearance from Fluevog, but puggie will have shiny teeth and healthy mouth. Maybe I will just go and get the boots anyway. I bought a cute pair of pink heels on ebay, and saw another black pair with bow on the side, but they went to 95. which is too much when shipping is another 11.
Coco, sweet little siamese mix seems healthy and is active, jumping on my bed, or running from Jane, to entice her interest. She also enjoys jumping on my dresser and batting at hanging necklaces or knocking small things to the floor.
Angie tolerates everyone and still trys to be alpha cat, mostly by showing her disdain for these antics from immature kittens and silly dogs. Jane is definitely not like Shakespug in that comic strip "Get Fuzzy" , though the dog is drawn very funny. And my kitty is not evil like the cat in there. The dog is right on though, kind of clueless, and getting taken advantage of.
I hope my sister does not mind giving Jane a pill every day while I am visiting Ali during Easter break. And giving her ear drops. But I am going to find some more pet sitters before summer, so no one is imposed on. I might even get another pug someday, if none of my relatives have to worry about sitting. Two sneezy, snortee, mouth breathers. How cute!
