Entry for August 6, 2007
Just thought you would like to see my high school. It was very innovative when it was built in the 60's, with the glass tunnel connecting buildings (directly above my thumb). This was part of our wanderings on Sunday.
This morning we left at 1:30 am and drove to Detroit, got there about 3:30, filled the rental with gas, turned it in, got the shuttle to the airport and got some coffee before checking in with security. Starbucks opened at 4, but they weren't really ready. She still had to open the register and put change in before she could ring me up. Why open the door and make people wait if you are not really ready?
Oh well, it was early.
We made the 6:30 flight in plenty of time, had a layover in Atlanta where Cathy visited the smoking "lounge" (its a glassed in room full of smoke) and we got back by noon.
I finally found Lisa's artwork. It turned out to be on the 2nd level with the concourses and food places, along with the other local artists. I took a photo and then joined Cathy outdoors in the warm atmosphere and went home to errands - like feed the cats again, pick up the dog, check the mail, messages, post photos and write my blog so all you eager people can find out the boring details of my trip.
